ACE
Adverse Childhood Experiences Questionnaire (ACE)
The ACE questionnaire assesses exposure to potentially traumatic events experienced during childhood (abuse, neglect, household dysfunction) and their later influence on physical and mental health. It helps psychologists better understand the impact of these early experiences on the adult patient's well-being.

Scoring & interpretation
Each affirmative answer (Yes) is worth 1 point. The total score is calculated by adding up the number of positive answers, for a score from 0 to 10. The higher the ACE score, the greater the risk of mental and physical health problems. However, interpretation must take the patient's context into account and does not replace an in-depth clinical assessment.
