GQ-ASC
Girls Questionnaire for Autism Spectrum Condition (GQ-ASC)
The GQ-ASC is a brief self-report questionnaire designed to identify autistic traits that are often under-identified in adult women, particularly when the clinical presentation is masked, internalized or compensated. It explores five dimensions that are useful in clinical practice: imagination and play, social camouflaging, sensory sensitivities, socialization and interests. This tool is especially relevant for initial screening, to guide the clinical interview and to support the decision to refer for an in-depth ASD diagnostic assessment. It can be particularly useful for patients with a late diagnosis, long-standing social difficulties, significant social fatigue, marked sensory differences or associated anxiety-depressive presentations.

Scoring & interpretation
Each item is rated from 1 to 4 according to the degree of agreement. Items 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 18 are reverse-scored, then all 21 responses are summed to obtain a total score. A score above 56 suggests a high level of autistic traits and warrants a specialized clinical exploration. Interpretation must remain cautious, because this is a screening tool and not a stand-alone diagnostic instrument.
