TCI
Temperament and Character Inventory (TCI)
The TCI is a self-administered questionnaire designed to assess personality dimensions according to Cloninger's biopsychosocial model. It measures four temperament dimensions (novelty seeking, harm avoidance, reward dependence and persistence) and three character dimensions (cooperativeness, self-directedness and self-transcendence). The TCI is often used in research and clinical practice to better understand individual differences and vulnerability to psychiatric disorders.

Each item is rated on a true/false or multiple-choice scale. Scores are calculated for seven main dimensions (four of temperament, three of character). Interpretation is based on the profiles derived from these dimensions, compared with a reference population.
